Pitt and Holmes at the Galactic Center
Lynn Hayes observes that both Brad Pitt and Katie Holmes seem to just sink into their partners, letting their identities become subsumed by Angelina Jolie and Tom Cruise. Pitt lags behind Jolie like a puppy dog, and Holmes disappears altogether under Cruise's megalomanicial control. Interestingly, both Pitt and Holmes were born with their Sun at 26 Sagittarius, which is conjunct the Galactic Center. 
Perhaps because I am a meat-and-potatoes astrologer (although vegetarian), I have a hard time believing that the Galactic Center is a significant point astrologically. However, I have not observed it in people's charts enough to truly judge.Anyway, Lynn notes that both Pitt and Hayes are undergoing a transit of Pluto over their Suns, so nevertheless they are undergoing intense transformation!

what significance would the pluto transit at 26 degrees with someone whose natal moon is in sagittarius at 26 degrees (in the 8th house)? any insight would be appreciated. my friend is a virgo (sun) with taurus-rising.

When Pluto transits the natal Moon, one feels emotions very intensely; underground, unconscious emotions and stuff related to family/home/mother come to the surface (consciousness) for healing; there may be a compulsive attraction to a woman, or one may meet a very powerful, intense, Scorpionic woman; there may be a "death" in how one relates to the matrix of mother/home/family/feelings, resulting in a regeneration in this area of life. With the Moon in the 8th house, these themes are amplified because Pluto is the natural ruler of the 8th house. In particular, issues around sexuality or trauma may come up in relation to one's childhood.

me personally, i have natal pluto at 25 deg of virgo, virgo-rising at 26 deg and sagittarius-ic at 26 deg. i have undoubtedly felt pluto's transit immensely and intensely these past couple of years...and will continue to do so for just a little bit longer :-) luckily, a sextile to my jupiter at 26 deg of libra (i like to believe) helps "lighten" some of the transit's intensity during these alignments to my natal chart.
