  • Greetings!

Hope you are doing well. You are reading my inaugural newsletter, released at the beginning of each lunar cycle, to inform you about my astrological take on film professionals, the upcoming full moon, and anything else that draws my attention.

    Movies
    Tim Burton

Tim Burton's dark yet whimsical films include Edward Scissorhands and Big Fish. This year he is coming out with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and The Corpse Bride. The most recent article on my Astrology at the Movies blog discusses how the archetype of Pluto, god of the underworld, pervades Burton's films. I provide an in-depth exploration of how the death-rebirth process in Nightmare Before Christmas reflects the obsessions we go through to try to get to the bottom of whatever fascinates us.

    Full Moon
    Full Moon

April features a lunar eclipse in Scorpio. Scorpio concerns the intimacies and resources we share, whether with a mate or a business partner. Sex, death and taxes (only two of which we can depend on).

Full moons bring aspects of our unconscious to light. On the 24th, consider

    • what secrets you are keeping
    • which fears block you from being more intimate with your partner
    • what power you give to the idea of "money"
    • shadow emotions like jealousy, possessiveness, rage
Try to be conscious of this area of your life so that it does not bite you when you least expect it.

    Me

Last month, I was part of a panel discussion with the New York Astrology Group at the New Life Expo. The NYAG's goal is to educate the public about astrology; their website will be coming soon.

My new book The Astrology of Film, an anthology of essays about movies and directors, has been getting positive reviews all over the web.

My article on the films of Robert Zemeckis was published in The Ingress, newsletter for the NY chapter of the National Council for Geocosmic Research (NCGR).

I have been working full-time at a community mental health clinic, and as much as I love psychotherapy, astrology is my passion. Please support my goal of making astrology my primary source of income! Refer a friend for an astrology reading; come back for a follow-up consultation. If you would like to learn more about my services, visit my website or call me at 347-423-4631.
