    Russell Crowe's Bad Temper
    Russell Crowe

At the last new moon, Russell Crowe threw a telephone at a hotel clerk. My latest article explores the astrological correlate of Mr. Crowe's anger problem.

Bill Streett has also written an interesting piece on how Tom Cruise's current transits correlate with all this Katie Holmes/Scientology/jumping on Oprah's couch business.

Yet another Capricorn Full Moon - July 21
    Full Moon

As I explored the Capricorn experience last month, this time I will go into more depth regarding the specifics of this full moon. On July 21, the Sun is closely conjunct Saturn, and the Moon is closely conjunct Chiron. Saturn will have just entered Leo on July 15 (see below). Saturn rules duty, responsibility, commitment, delay, struggle and hardship. It is a very serious planet; no surprise that it is the planetary ruler of Capricorn! Chiron is a recently discovered planetoid that astrologers surmise relates to the archetype of the Wounded Healer.

So...combine Capricorn Full Moon with fear (Saturn) and wounds (Chiron) and we're all in for a fun ride! I'd say that we can expect issues regarding our father's woundedness to come up to the surface, as well as any other significant Saturnian people in our lives: wise elders, authority figures, your boss.

Also consider the fear that comes up when we start working on our own healing. If you schedule an initial appointment with a chiropractor or acupuncturist (or any other alternative healer), you may encounter resistance to the emotional pain that naturally comes up when you confront the psychological wounds that have been somatized (calling your attention by manifesting in your body). If you let your fear stop you from working through your old wounds, then you risk experiencing the dark side of Saturn: stagnation. It may feel safe, but growth is probably much more satisfying.

Free Talk on Saturn in Leo

Saturday, July 23 at 10 am

Saturn, the planet of hardship, restriction and delay, enters the proud and extravagant sign of Leo this month. I will be giving a free talk on what to expect on a global and cultural level, as well as how this will affect people with their Sun signs in Taurus, Scorpio, Leo and Aquarius.

It will be held in Brooklyn, NY at the Park Slope Food Coop, which is located at 782 Union Street, between 6th and 7th Avenues. Directions by subway and car are available on the coop's website.
